Sam has 15 years experience overseeing the development of software products in Asian markets. As a neuroscientist at RIKEN BSI Japan, Sam's early exposure to AI saw him use machine learning to decode stimuli from human brain activity. He later moved into the commercial sector, using machine learning techniques such as natural language processing to develop social media analyses for multinationals such as Nike and Electronic Arts. His passion for music and entertainment saw him oversee the development of Alive, a crowdfunding platform for live music, as well as the video Q&A platform asQme, which allowed fans to send and receive video messages from top-line celebrities including Steve Aoki, Deadmau5, Fatboy Slim, members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Oasis.
